Turning thirty was tough for me. I had a lot going on. My mother’s 10 year battle with cancer had taken a turn for the worse, and we knew we were going to lose her. This was while I was planning my dream wedding in Italy – a wedding I didn’t even know if I’d be able to have. I was a mess of all the feelings. I needed an escape. I needed fun. It was one of those days. I wasn’t crazy about my outfit, I was tired, and I had helmet hair from riding on my husband’s scooter. But I was determined to be professional and do a good job.
